This statement reflects American Licorice Company’s commitment to protecting information we learn from each visitor ("Visitor") to our site.
Personal Information.  This web site allows for the collection of personal information from a Visitor, including the Visitor's name, e-mail address, home address, telephone number, credit/debit card information, login name, password and birth date ("Personal Information"), as applicable.  The submission of Personal Information by a Visitor is always voluntary, but may be a necessary step for registering or participating in certain activities and promotions offered or made available on this site.  By providing Personal Information, the Visitor consents to the collection and use of the Personal Information by American Licorice, as stated herein.
American Licorice Company’s Commitment to Children’s Privacy.  Please see the special provisions below that also apply to Visitors 13 to 17 years of age (“Minor Visitors”) and Visitors under the age of 13 (“Children”).
Use of Personal Information.  American Licorice and its business affiliates use Personal Information for the purpose for which it was submitted and to communicate to Visitors about products and special offers and promotions.  Personal Information will not be traded, licensed, sold or used for third party marketing or promotional purposes without prior authorization from the Visitor.  Personal Information may be used or disclosed by operation of law, in compliance with valid legal requirements or in the event of a business transaction involving the company’s assets, but only to the extent necessary and always with the commitment of American Licorice Company toward protecting the Personal Information.

Visitor’s Responsibility.  Visitors must also take precautions to prevent unauthorized access and use of Personal Information, including but not limited to, login names and passwords.  For example, Visitors should not disclose or allow others to use their personal passwords or other personal identification information used to access and/or conduct transactions on this site.  Visitors are solely responsible for all results (claims, liabilities and damages of any kind) arising from or related to their disclosure of Personal Information to another person or entity, whether the disclosure was intentional or not. Visitors agree not to use anyone else’s personal identification information without proper authorization.
Review/Correction/Removal of Personal Information.  A Visitor may review, correct and/or delete Personal Information by e-mail request to consumerfeedback@amerlic.com . Visitors may also opt out of receiving communications from American Licorice about offers, contests or new products by advising us by e-mail request to consumerfeedback@amerlic.com .
Non-Personal Information.  This Red Vines Web Site may use "cookies" and may record certain non-personal information to help the site more useful, including but not limited to, what type of software the Visitor is using to browse the Internet, the Uniform Resource Locator ("URL" or "web address") that the Visitor visited before and after the Red Vines Web Site, the Visitor's IP address and the Visitor's Internet Service Provider.
Minor Visitors (13 to 17 Years of Age):  When submitting Personal Information through this web site, Minor Visitors are required to provide the e-mail address of a parent or guardian.  American Licorice will send an email message to the parent or guardian identifying the information supplied by the Minor Visitor allowing the parent or guardian to be aware of and participate in the Minor Visitor's online experience.
Children (Under 13 Years of Age):  American Licorice encourages parents and legal guardians to visit the Company’s web site with their Children.  Children should not submit Personal Information to American Licorice without the prior consent of their parent or legal guardian.
It is the practice of American Licorice to comply fully with The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 ("COPPA") governing the collection, use and disclosure of personal information from children under the age of 13 (a "Child" or "Children").    Pursuant to COPPA:
·  Before collecting, using or disclosing a Child's Personal Information, American Licorice will obtain verifiable consent of the parent or legal guardian.  Therefore, a Child or the Child's parent or legal guardian must provide American Licorice with the e-mail address of the parent or legal guardian.    American Licorice will send a message to the given e-mail address to obtain the parent or legal guardian's consent to the collection and use of a Child's Personal Information coupled with some additional step (such as a sending a delayed confirming e-mail) to provide assurance that the person providing the consent is the parent or legal guardian. ·  The parent or legal guardian has the option to agree to the collection and use of a Child's Personal Information without consenting to the disclosure of the Personal Information to third parties.
·  The parent or legal guardian can, at any time, review the Child's Personal Information, ask to have it corrected or deleted and refuse to allow any further collection or use of the Child's Information.    See the procedure under "Review/Correction/Removal of Personal Information" above.
·  COPPA prohibits the conditioning of a Child's participation in any activity on the Child's disclosure of more personal information than is reasonably necessary.
American Licorice and its affiliates use no Personal Information collected from Children for any marketing or promotional purposes whatsoever.  In the case of contests or promotions, Children's Personal Information is used with the parent or guardian's verified consent only for the specific contest or promotion.    Children's Personal Information is not retained after the conclusion of the contest or promotion except as required by law for record retention purposes. If a Child is selected as a winner in a contest, notification will be sent only to the given parent or guardian's e-mail address. If a Child submits a question or comment, the Child will be responded to only once with a copy to the given parent or guardian's e-mail address.
Visitor’s Risk and Limitation of Liability for Failure of Security Measures.  Due to the nature of electronic communications and storage, these security measures may not prevent all loss, misuse, theft or alteration of Personal Information collected from the site.  THEREFORE, THE VOLUNTARY SUBMISSION OF PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION VIA THIS SITE IS AT THE VISITOR’S SOLE RISK AND EXCEPT AS PROHIBITED BY LAW, EACH VISITOR AGREES THAT AMERICAN LICORICE COMPANY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY FAILURE OF THESE SECURITY MEASURES OR FOR ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, DISTRIBUTION, ALTERATION OR THEFT OF PERSONAL INFORMATION ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SUBMISSION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION VIA THIS SITE.  IN NO EVENT SHALL AMERICAN LICORICE COMPANY BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO ANY FAILURE OF SECURITY MEASURES OR ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, DISTRIBUTION, ALTERATION OR THEFT OF PERSONAL INFORMATION.
Termination or Suspension of Access/Participation:  American Licorice reserves the right to suspend or terminate access or participation in any and all transactions, promotions, contests or other activity offered or made available through this site in the event of a suspected or threatened breach of security or the terms of this Privacy Statement.
Modifications.  American Licorice Company reserves the right to change this privacy and security statement at any time without prior notice.  However, American Licorice will attempt to note on the web site home page of any material and significant changes that affect the use of Personal Information.  We strongly recommend that you check back here periodically to review this statement for changes.
